AnQi Bistro

Faces of Orange County – AnQi Bistro

The Face of Fine Asian Cuisine

Nestled next to Bloomingdale’s at South Coast Plaza, AnQi by House of An has been blazing culinary trails for nearly a decade. Owner Elizabeth An envisioned the gourmet bistro as a dining destination that would marry her unique Vietnamese culture with the heartbeat of urban Orange County. The concept restaurant also showcases Elizabeth’s love of fashion and architecture.

“I really wanted to create that environment and atmosphere with a beautiful and memorable design, exciting menu and wonderful service,” says Elizabeth. “We want guests to feel warm and welcome, and fabulous and chic when visiting AnQi.” While AnQi’s ambiance is notable, it’s the amazing dining options that keep guests coming back for more.

“Our menus echo my mother’s longstanding culinary philosophy of combining distinctive and healthy herbs and spices to create dishes that not only taste good, but are truly good for you. With this in mind, Mama and Chef Ron Lee have created the perfect synergy of California Asian fusion cuisine coupled with tapas-style service, in a fashionable environment.”

Elizabeth and her team take inspiration from many different sources, often from the most unlikely of places. For example, the bistro’s limited dinner series, GourMonday, was inspired by various international cities and incorporated that inspiration with an Asian flair to come up with exciting and unexpected dishes.

“Some dishes that I feel highlight the best of AnQi are our Award-winning Tombo Tuna Tacos, Crispy Pastrami Egg Rolls or the Signature Sizzling Salt Block Steak. What’s also great about AnQi is the tapas and sharing style vibe of our menu, so you can really mix and match and share dishes with a date or with friends.”
